Hi, my name is Solya, and I’m the creator behind the Gel-X press-on nail sets you see here. I was adopted from Hungary and raised by my incredible single mom in NYC. We’re extremely close, and she has shaped so much of who I am today.

Outside of nails, I’m someone who loves exploring creativity in many forms. I’m a multi-instrument musician, dancer, artist, actress, activist, gamer, and a proud cat mom. I currently live with my cat Snickerdoodle and have two more sweet cats back home in NYC.

I’m an Elementary Education major with minors in Anthropology and Communications at Appalachian State University. I love learning new things, creating, and connecting with people who inspire me.

I started my nail business because, as a busy student, getting my nails done was often time-consuming and expensive. I wanted to create an alternative that felt accessible, fun, and practical. My goal was to offer reusable Gel-X press-on nails that are cute, easy to wear, and budget-friendly without sacrificing quality. I love designing sets that reflect each person’s style and bringing their ideas to life.

When I’m not doing nails, you’ll usually find me spending time with friends, cooking, café hopping, thrifting, traveling, gaming, or relaxing with my cats. I truly enjoy building meaningful connections, creating art with intention, and growing a supportive community through this space.
